After the conquest of Baghdad, Mongols invaded Hindustan constantly in 1278A.D. Balban encountered them. Both his sons defeated the Mongols near Depalpur. Mongols invaded with great force in which the eldest son of Balban was killed but Sultan pushed them far off and chased them out India's borders.
