Pramipexole (Mirapex), rotigotine (Neupro), and ropinirole (Requip) act like dopamine in the brain. You can take one of these drugs on its own or along with Sinemet. Most doctors prescribe dopamine agonists first and then add levodopa if symptoms still aren’t controlled.
