Which waves travel faster light waves or sound waves?

Well this is easy considering we have broken the sound barrier and nothing can travel close to the speed of light. In one second light can travel around the Earth 7.5 times and sound can travel around the Earth once in 27 minutes and 34 seconds. The speed of light (C) is 186,400 mi/s (299,792 km/s) or 670,616,679 mph. The speed of sound is 767 mph or .21 mi/s so clearly much slower. For example when we see lightning we can figure out how far it is away by counting the seconds between when we see it and when we hear it then dividing by 5 for the miles because light is in fact much much faster. Things faster then the speed of sound is called mach by saying it is for example mach 3 meaning 3 times faster then the speed of sound. C* is for saying something is —- times faster then the speed of light (C). C* has only been used in fictional movies, comic books, and TV shows. Such as my favorite, The Flash. Superman, Iron Man, and Quicksilver has also been known to do so. The speed of light (C) is mach 874,030. Back to reality light can beat anything in a race except for some theories saying that the expansion of the Universe is faster. Just for examples. As you can already tell i pay attention to speed and the flash based on my name.
