Three examples of transparent objects are:

1. Glass 2. Water 3. Air

Light waves can travel or bounce off of certain materials depending on what they are made up of. Light waves, or forms of light such as the Sun light, respond differently to transparent, translucent, and opaque objects. In transparent objects, the light waves are actually absorbed by the material. Light waves that hit an object actually cause the electrons to vibrate. These vibrations are able to continue to pass through the atoms in the object until this energy is at the other side of the object. Essentially, the light wave is able to pass directly through the object without having to be changed.
