In countries with cold climates people build a small glasshouse where all plants can be grown. Sunlight enters the glasshouse and increases the temperature inside. The glasshouse traps the heat, which cannot escape. So, during winter, it stays warm inside, even when there is too cold outside. This glasshouse is called a greenhouse.
