Differentiate between evaporation and condensation?

Best Answer:  Condensation is the change of physical state from gaseous to liquid or (directly) solid. Whereas evaporation is the change of physical state from liquid or solid (directly) to gas. They are opposite to each other.

Consider rainfall. Water first evaporates from the earth, rises up in the atmosphere, forms clouds which then condenses to form rain droplets and falls back on earth.
