Liquid:Liquid is the type of matter that has a definite volume but does not have a definite shape. The particles in a liquid are close to one another but they are not tightly packed together due to the presence of weak forces of attraction between them. They can slide past each other. Gas:Gas is an air-like state of matter that has neither a definite shape nor volume.Gas particles are far apart from one another and have little force of attraction between them. They can move freely in any direction.
