1-Sedimentation:The process in which insoluble heavy solids in a mixture settle down at the bottom of a container is called sedimentation.e.g we leave the mixture of water and sand for a few minutes,the particles of sand will settle down at the bottom.
2-Decantation:Decantation is the process by which a clear liquid obtained after sedimentation is poured into another beaker.The settled heavy particles are not disturbed at all.
3-Filtration:It is the method of separating insoluble and suspended substances from soluble substances.The mixture is passed through a porous sheet e.g filter paper.
