Cell membrane is common to both plant and animal cels.It is the outer covering of the animal cell and controls the movement of materials into and out of teh cell.It is the partially permeable i.e it allows certain materials to pass through .It also gives shape to the cell.
Much. David Attenborough says in one of his “Plsnet Earth” videos (the original one) that an oak tree would have no difficulty reading the DNA of a human. Couldnt use the information because the “machinery” to do so is missing, but DNA nucleotide bases are the same, regardless of life form.
We (plants and humans) are classified as having eukaryotic cells. Our cells are complex, having tiny internal organelles to do tasks. We have clean up crews, food storage bubbles, a nice complex bag to hold our DNA that can disappear and reform into a bag as needed. And lots more stuff. All within one tiny cell and almost all our cells have this stuff.
Plant cells have two big differences from animal cells in that they have a stiff outer layer called a cell wall, and chlorophyll organelles to make food. Otherwise they have the same kinds of things inside them.
