Answer. The condition of a chemical reaction at which the rate of the forward reaction is equal to the rate of reverse reaction and the composition of the reaction mixture becomes constant is called a chemical equilibrium state. For example;
                  N2(g) + 3H2(g) <====> 2NH3(g)

At the equilibrium state concentrations of N2, H2 and NH3 become constant and do not change unless conditions are changed.
