Ans:Nephron is the structural and functional unit of vertebrate Kidney. It consists of a single long tubule with a cup shaped Bowman capsule enclosing a ball of capillaries called the glomerulus. The tubule forms loop of Henle. The nephrons open into the urine collecting ducts.
