How big are the stars?

The stars are extremely big. Most of them are so large that hundreds and thousands of earths could be packed inside each. Some stars are so big that they can contain millions and millions of earths in them.

Our sun IS an average sized star. 

Just about every "normally sized ones that we see on a nightly basis." is in fact a giant star. 
Such as : 
Sirius (twice the mass of our sun) 
Polaris - super giant star 

Our sun is about 1,500,000 km in diameter. In other words about 750,000 times as far as the height of a tall person.
