A student says that the two terms speed and frequency of the wave refer to the same thing. What is your response?

Ans. The statement of the student is not correct as speed and frequency of the wave are not same. Speed is the distance travelled in a particular time, while frequency is the number of waves passing through a point in a particular time. Also frequency does not depend on the nature of medium, but speed of wave is different in different media.
