Vaginal foreign bodies are objects that don’t belong in the vagina and are put or left there by accident or on purpose. Small items usually cause no pain. Larger ones may cause pain, especially if they have sharp edges. Other symptoms include bleeding or foul-smelling vaginal discharge. Less often, you might have pain or have discomfort peeing.
Rarely, you can have tears through your vagina, which can lead to symptoms in your belly. Infections are also possible.
