Dysuria is when you feel pain, discomfort, or burning when you pee. Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the top causes of painful urination. Infections can happen in any part of your urinary tract, including:
- Kidneys
- Ureters (tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder)
- Bladder
- Urethra (tube from the bladder that carries urine out of the body)
