Similar to Faraday's cage, inside the car you are safe from the influence of external field The charge is evenly distributed on the surface of the oar and the electric field inside the car is zero But if we touch the ground, while coming out of the car. the charge will be discharged to the ground through our body. Hence, it may be fatal.
