Ans. CHARACTERISTICS OF OHMIC CONDUCTORS
Ohmic conductors have a linear current-voltage relationship over a large range of applied voltages The straight line shows a constant ratio between voltage and current. Ohm's Law is obeyed by the ohmic conductors. For example, most metals show ohmic behaviour.
CHARACTERISTICS OF NON-OHMIC CONDUCTORS
Non ohmic materials have a non -linear current-voltage relationship. For example, filament lamp, and thermister are non-ohmic materials. The resistance of filament rises (current decreases) as it gets hotter, which is shown by the gradient getting steeper.
