Plan time off from work or school to have your surgery. You’ll want to take it easy the rest of the day. Some teens can drive themselves to and from the surgery. But if you get general anesthesia or pain drugs, your parents will need to drive.
Most people have little to no pain afterward. It may take a few days to feel back to normal, but you can usually go back to regular activities the next day.
