There is no known way to absolutely prevent sleepwalking; however, certain steps can be taken to minimize one's risk. These include:

  • Get adequate sleep.
  • Limit stress. Meditate or do relaxation exercises.
  • Avoid any kind of stimulation (auditory or visual) prior to bedtime.
