Strawberry hemangiomas (also called strawberry mark, nevus vascularis, capillary hemangioma, hemangioma simplex) is a vascular (blood vessel) tumor that may happen early in life and look like a birthmark. It can show up anywhere on your body, but is most common on your face, scalp, back, or chest. They're made of small, closely packed blood vessels. They usually grow quickly, then stay a fixed size, and then go away. In most cases, they disappear by the time a child is 10 years old.
