When we want to create a sofware or program, we create it using a programming language. Similarly, when we want to design a web page, we use a language, that is HTML. HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language. Although HTML is not a programing language but it is the language used to defne the layout and atributes of a World Wide Web document. It is also used to create links between web documents (documents being text, sound, or graphics). HTML documents have the .html extension. When working with Microsof Word, Word document is saved with .doc or .docx extension. Similarly, HTML documents are saved with .html extension. HTML documents are actually just plain text, but contain snippets of code. These codes carry vital informaton about how the page should be displayed)
