Usually within the first 24 hours of infection, you'll have a combination of:

Redness and warmth around the wound
Flu-like symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, fever, dizziness, and weakness
Intense thirst
Swelling and possibly a purplish rash
Large, purple marks that turn into blisters filled with dark, stinky fluid
Discolored, peeling, and flaky skin
Severe drop in blood pressure
Toxic shock
Unconsciousness
