Call your doctor if you have signs of active infection, most likely a spreading, painful red rash. If you're already being treated for an infection, watch for signs that your medicine isn't working. If you're taking an antibiotic, call your doctor if:
The infection isn't better after 3 or 4 days of antibiotics.
The rash spreads.
You have a fever.
