Blister biopsy. Your doctor removes a piece of the blister and looks at it under a microscope. It can show where skin layers have separated.
Direct immunofluorescence. The biopsy sample is tested for antibodies. The type of antibodies in your skin can show which type of blistering disorder you have.
A blood test for antibodies. This can show how severe your condition is.
