If you get endovenous laser treatment, you'll have a small laser fiber inserted into the affected vein to send pulses of laser light inside the vein, which causes the vein to collapse. It's an outpatient procedure, meaning you'll go home afterward. You'll get local anesthesia to numb the area before the procedure.
