Your bones need calcium to be strong and healthy. RA can lead to bone loss. And iIf you take corticosteroids for your rheumatoid arthritis (RA), it’s harder for your body to take in calcium from foods or beverages. That can lead to osteoporosis, which make fractures more likely.
