1) Accessory splenic nodues occur in about 10% of people and are usually located near the hilum of spleen or embedded in the tail of the pancreas.
2) Absence of Spleen (Asplenia)
congenital absence of spleen is a rare anomaly. It usually occurs as a part of a syndrome in which anomalies of lo-bation of liver and lungs and some car­diac malformation are also present.
