You start a course of certolizumab (Cimzia) by getting a shot at the doctor's office. Your health care provider may teach you how to do it at home. You'll take it every other week.
This drug makes you more likely to get infections and can lead to forms of cancer, heart failure, and some autoimmune disorders. You may also bruise or bleed more easily.
