Since most people know very little about psoriasis, it's important to help your friends learn about the disease and its treatment. Reassure them that they can't catch it from you. Explain that there's no cure. It's a condition you'll need to manage for the rest of your life. If you're trying a new treatment, tell your close friends how it works and what the side effects might be. Ask for practical help if you need it -- and don't be afraid to let them know how you feel.
