In this anom­aly the cavity of the uterus is divided by a median septum. Usually such a sep­tum extends from the fundus to the isthmic region of the uterus. However, sometimes the septum reaches the in-
ternal os, completely dividing the uter­ine cavity; this condition is called uterus bilocularis.
