After your prostate cancer treatment, you usually will go for medical check-ups every few months. At each visit, your doctor will order a blood test to measure your PSA levels. This test helps your doctor detect a cancer recurrence. You will also be examined. New symptoms should be reported to the doctor, as these may prompt other testing. The PSA test is excellent, but it is not a perfect tool.
