One to three year olds need about 12 - 14 hours of sleep a day. Around the 18- to 21-month mark, your baby likely will be down to only one nap a day. While toddlers need up to 14 hours a day of sleep, they usually get only about 10.

Most children up to age 3 still need to take a nap, lasting from 1 to 3 ½ hours long. They usually go to bed between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. and wake up between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
