To show your child how to handle her own issues:
- Teach compromise: Show how to resolve disputes in a way that satisfies all.
- Enforce rules: Make sure all abide by the same rules.
- Hold family meetings: Get the family together once a week to hash out issues, and let each child have a say.
- Give kids the rights to their own possessions: Sharing is important, but children shouldn't be forced to share everything.
