A baby 4 months to a year old needs about 14 - 15 hours of sleep a day

It’s ideal to get 15 hours of slumber, but most babies at this stage get only about 12 hours. Setting good sleep habits during this time is important as your baby gets more social and follows a more adult-like sleep schedule.

By 6 months of age, babies need only a couple of naps a day and should be able to sleep through the night.
