Follow your doctor's instructions, which may include:
�Not eating within six hours of your appointment. But it may be OK to have clear liquids until two hours before the procedure.
�If you take insulin, your primary care doctor will adjust the dosage for the day of the procedure. Bring it, and all your meds, with you to the procedure, too.
�Take any other medications with a small sip of water.
�Arrange for someone to drive you home after the procedure. You shouldn't drive for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
