Lifestyle changes alone aren’t likely to make your nerve pain go away. But they can help. Some tips:
Eat a good diet. There's no special diet for nerve pain. But a well-balanced diet -- with lots of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains – will give you the nutrients you need. Consider limiting or cutting out alcohol.
Exercise regularly. Studies show that people with long-term pain feel it less if they exercise, and have more energy and better moods.
Don't smoke. Tobacco lowers the blood supply to the nerves and worsen nerve pain.
