Vasculitis is when your blood vessels get inflamed. That may weakened or stretch your blood vessels, or case them to leak, swell, get narrower, or even close off entirely.
The outlook can vary greatly depending on which organs are involved. In severe cases, you might live only weeks or months. But it’s possible to live a normal lifespan if you get diagnosed and treated right away.
Vasculitis can come back after treatment, which is called remission. It’s important, especially if your case is severe, that you and your doctor continue to monitor your condition.
