- Cystic fibrosis

- Celiac disease
- Osteogenesis imperfecta ("brittle bone disease")
- Homocystinuria (a genetic metabolic disorder)
- Hyperthyroidism
- Hyperparathyroidism
- Cushing's syndrome
- Malabsorption syndromes
- Anorexia nervosa or other eating disorders
- Kidney disease
