This condition happens when your discs and other cartilage slowly break down, usually because of age. Treatments are usually conservative since it gets better with rest. Other options include:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or other medication to treat pain and inflammation

Cervical collar to limit movement and give support
