Talk to your doctor if you have any of these symptoms of hip osteoarthritis:
- Stiff joints when you get out of bed or sit for a long time
- Any pain, swelling, or tenderness in the hip joint
- A sound or feeling ("crunching") of bone rubbing against bone
- Trouble moving your hips to put on your socks or other routine tasks
