A document window is a section of the screen used to display the contents of a document file on a graphical user interface (GUI) operating system.Word files are commonly used as the format for sending text documents via e-mail because almost every user with a computer can read a Word document by using the Word application, a Wordviewer or a word processor that imports the Wordformat (see Microsoft Word Viewer).
