Potassium:Potassium is absorbed by plant roots as K+.The concentration of potassium in vagetative tissue usually ranges from 1-4%

Mg²+ is a primary constituent of chlophyll molecule and without chlorophyll the autotropic green plant would fail to carry on  photosynthesis.
