Central Processiong Unit is the most important unit of computer.it is generally referred to as the brain of computer.CPU is also called processor.it is located on the motherboard.it is the set of electronic circuits.
CPU excutes program instructions.it also controls others parts of computers.A computer is incomplete with out CPU.all computers must have a CPU.
Functions of CPU:
The main functions of the CPU are as folllows:
i.Accepts data and instructions from the input unit and stores into main memory.
ii.Processes data according to the given instructions.
iii.Provides output in useful infromation.It can ne used either by users or by other computer programs.
