The location and nature of an image formed by a lens can be easily found by a ray diagram.A ray diagram is a drawing showing the path of light rays.To find the position and nature of image by ray diagram follow the following steps:

⇒ Draw the position of the object ,lens and focal point on the principal axis.

⇒Draw any two rays out of the three from the top of an object .In case of a convex lens the point at which these rays cross each other after refraction is the top of the image.
