In case of concave lens, light rays parallel to the principal axis after passing through the lens bend in such a way that they do not meet at one point. They diverge out and appear to be coming from one point which is called principal focus. The principal focus of a concave lens is ' virtual' . The focal length of a concave lens is taken as negative. The image is not formed on the screen by a concave lens.
