“Houses are built to live in, not to look on”
The house of one’s own is a blessing of Allah. It provides shelter and security. Every animals and birds like to return to their houses in the evening. The reason is everyone feels peace and comfort at the house. That is why, it is often said
“East or West, home is the best”
My house is the best to me in the world. It is near my school. It is very spacious. It has two storeys. It has eight rooms, a drawing room, a dining room, a kitchen, a store and four wash rooms. It is fitted with electricity. All the rooms are neat and clean. It has a porch too. A passage leads to the porch from the main gate.
Four rooms including the drawing room are carpeted. Each room has some chairs and a pair of sofa sets. There are beautiful pictures of natural scenery on its walls. There are the portraits of our late forefathers on the walls.

It stands a little back the main road. So it is out of access of din and noise of the traffic. It is at the corner of the street. Therefore, it is well-lighted Every room has windows and ventilators. It is white washed and painted every year. Very nice people live in our neighborhood. No one ever complains against the other. My father got it constructed when I was a child.

There is a small garden in the big.courtyard of my house. My father is keen for the fruit trees. My mother loves flowers. She has grown flowers in the flower-beds in a long line. She looks after and preens those flower-beds daily. I assist my mother in it as I also like flowers. I do not like anyone to pick flowers from there. We take every pain to keep our house neat and clean.
